Los Angeles-based Mad Rabbit, the clean and natural tattoo skincare brand pioneering the tattoo care category, has received $4 million in fresh funding.

WHO: Mad Rabbit was born in 2019, founded by two friends with a passion for ink who saw an opportunity to create a superior natural solution to help improve the healing process of tattoos. With the mission to eliminate all unnatural and processed ingredients found in traditional aftercare, they set out to create simple yet reliable products.

WHY: This funding comes off the heels of Mad Rabbit's exclusive partnership with Inked Magazine, a 3-year digital media deal worth $4-5 million. With its fresh funding, Mad Rabbit intends to double down on building its community, expand its product offerings and retail outlets, and amplify its deal with Inked Magazine.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Drew Fallon, CFO, believes, "The tattooed community has been long overlooked by brands of all sizes and in all categories who fail to realize that our demographic now consists of over 100 million people in America alone. We are beyond excited to partner with a stellar syndicate of investors to accelerate key initiatives that will allow us to continue to bring value to our community in a variety of ways that no other consumer brand has ever done."

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Oliver, Drew, and the Mad Rabbit team on this next chapter of rapid growth for the brand. It is no surprise to anyone that the popularity of tattoos and body art has increased dramatically over the last 10 years and broad consumer interest doesn't seem to be slowing down whatsoever. Tattoos are personal and with you for life, so daily care and maintenance over time is critical. After looking into this category in depth over the last several years, we have found Mad Rabbit to be by far, the highest-potential brand addressing this massive unmet consumer need. The team has a clear vision, distinguished products, strong innovation, and a unique, high-touch brand strategy that ensures Mad Rabbit is well positioned to serve its highly engaged and growing community for many years to come. We look forward to the exciting journey ahead," said Ian Knowles, LB Equity.

"It's not easy to find white space in today's ever expanding skincare market, but Mad Rabbit did just that," said David Hall, Managing Partner of Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund. "They have developed a unique brand to meet the needs of the growing population who want to preserve and care for their tattoos with clean and natural products. We are excited to back them and the community they are building.”
